Welcome to Cub Scouting
Hello, we are excited that you are part of our pack! If you are new to Scouting, it can be hard to keep up with all the terminology. Here is a quick video that answers some common scouting questions.


Understanding Cub Scouting
Cub Scouting aims to develop Character, Citizenship, Personal Fitness, and Leadership in youth.
The mission of Scouting is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in then the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
To accomplish this mission, we create opportunities for cubs to explore and participate in fun ways with their world. Den Leaders and caregivers (Akelas) work with their Scouts on Adventures throughout the year. At Pack 190 we want to provide a positive experiences for youth in the communities of Eastern Franklin County, Vermont. We hope you will join us!

Cubs operate on the premise of try your best. If a scout gives their best effort to try an activity even if they don't succeed, they can be awarded the adventure. Caregivers can also work with their Scouts independently on adventures. Please reserve the Required Adventures for Den Meetings.
